Creating splash videos for Edlund’s three newest products—the French Fry Cutter, VariCut Food Processor, and Pro Series Meat Slicers—was an exciting challenge. It wasn’t just about filming; it was about learning the key selling points of each product and understanding them well enough to operate them like a pro.

Edlund's Pro Series Slicers

A big part of the process was selecting the right food. I spent time carefully choosing the best-looking fruits and vegetables, sorting through produce to find the crispest lettuce, the ripest tomatoes, and the perfect potatoes for cutting. Since food on camera needs to look as fresh as possible, every detail mattered.

Capturing the right angles was another challenge, especially when filming food in action. One shot required placing the camera inside the food itself for a truly immersive perspective. Another involved dropping fries in front of a green screen to create a dynamic “fry swipe” transition effect. Every element had to work together—I wasn't just capturing footage, I was creating assets that could be reused for future videos that would enhance motion graphics, transitions, and the overall storytelling.

The process pushed me to think beyond traditional filming, blending creativity with technical precision to showcase these products the Edlund way—engineered for efficiency, durability, and innovation. Seeing it all come together in the final videos made every challenge worth it!
